Takuma Iwasaki

I am a JSD candidate at Stanford Law School and a Ph.D. scholar in Stanford Data Science, advised by Professor John Donohue. My research interests lie in gun control and corporate governance, applying causal inference and empirical methods to legal analysis.

My recent work has been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and as a National Bureau of Economic Research working paper. I have also served as Managing Editor of the Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance.

Before coming to Stanford, I practiced law at Nishimura & Asahi in Tokyo, specializing in antitrust, WTO disputes, and M&A. I hold an LL.B. and J.D. from the University of Tokyo.
